WHO I AM
I am a common sense conservative, and I believe there is no shame in holding fast to Christian and conservative values and principles. I will be a representative whose motivation for seeking elected office is not driven by what's best for me but, rather, the desire to serve the people.
I am the former Midwestern State University Police Chief. I believe that my life's experiences, including my 30 + plus years in the Criminal Justice System, my abilities, skills, political philosophy and understanding of the issues, qualify me to be County Commissioner, and represent the residents of Precinct 4.
In my law enforcement career, I was honored to be a public servant, and I feel this is an excellent opportunity for me to continue serving. I retired from MSU as Police Chief in 2010, capping a 30 year career as a law enforcement officer. I currently serve as Director of Criminal Justice at Nortex Regional Planning Commission. I have a Criminal Justice degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I have been married to my wife, Kim, for 23 years, who is a Registered Nurse with the Wichita Falls Independent School District. We have three children, Erin a student at MSU, Austin, who attends Murray State College on a baseball scholarship, and Devon, a freshman at Rider High School. My family and I are active members of Colonial Church where I serve as a deacon.

Reduce Taxes - A fiscally responsible government protects it's citizens to enjoy the fruits of thier own labor. Government should be streamlined to ensure it has not exceeded its necessary size and scope.

Enhance Road Improvements - Develop preventive maintenance strategies, to enhance overall maintenance / repairs. Implement enhancements such as improved shoulders, reflective markers and signage.

Enhance Services - Citizens want a system that strives to provide better services. Government should evaluate current services, consolidate services that can be and eliminate services that are not needed or do not work, allowing for enhancement of other services.

Manage and control debt - By implementing fiscally conservative policies, debt can be managed for the good of the public. ( Consolidation, refinancing and / or buying down the debt)

Balanced Budget - All deficit spending must be eliminated.

I have a B.A. degree in Criminal Justice from University of Texas San Antonio. I have have 36 hours of graduate work in Training and Development from Midwestern State Unversiy.
30 year law enforcement career, retired as Chief of Police from Midwestern State University.
Master Peace Officer certification, Police Instructor certification, Telecommunication certification.
Trained in Emergency Management.
Hobbies include playing golf and coaching all sports. I love bowling, ping pong and pool. I have been active in Little League, and Booster clubs at both the Jr. High and High School level.
